God saw u getting tired and a cure was not to be

So he put his arms around u, whispered come with me

With tearful eyes, we watched and we saw u pass away

Although we love u dearly, we could not make u stay

A golden heart stopped beating

God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the BEST

Someone wrote that poem about Claire and I just thought it was so beautiful.

Claire passed away yesterday afternoon due to complications from Leukemia. She only found out she was ill at the beginning of the week.  She was a Sophomore at Central Catholic.

I have been deeply touched by the way the whole Central Catholic student body have stuck together through this and have spent many hours at the St. Elizabeth Adoration Chapel, in front of Our Lord, praying for Claire and her family. It is a small school and everyone knows everyone and they have all felt the pain of this. Please keep her whole family in prayer.

You know, I just blogged about blessings through tough times. There seems like there has been too much pain. Here's another family and another group of friends that are going through very tough times. But with strong faith we can say:

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."-Romans 8:28
